OCR: PAGE 12 Section H - Labels REAL "REAL BEER" Labels. These match the #G-21 "Real Beer" Bottle Caps on Page 1. These labels are self-adhesive. Just peel off and stick onto bottles. They are easily removable when bottles are empty. If you're careful, they're even re-usable! Black on Gold, 3" diameter. BEER 11-25a REAL BEER LABELS. Pack of 100 9.95 "NATURALLY MATURED" Labels. These are gummed (wet and stick) labels. They have a ribbon across the middle for the name of the beer or wine, and there is room for other information such as date of bottling, specific gravity, etc. There is another space at the bottom for the brewer's name. These stick well to the bottles, but they soak off easily when you want them off. They are not re-usable. Bluc on Buff, about 3" wide. H-26a NATURALLY MATURED LABELS. Pack of 100 . 6.95 Section I - Sanitizers & Cleaners Proper sanitation is the most important thing in brewing and winemaking. All your equipment, and everything that will touch your beer or wine must be sanitized, Bottles are a particular nuisance, but these products will do a great job on all your equipment. We keep about 4 cases of bottles stacked neck-up in a 30-gallon plastic trash can in the back yard. We fill the trash can with water, add 1 pound of Chlorinated T.S.P. and cover the can and leave them there. The T.S.P. soaks off everything, even labels, in a couple of days. When bottles are needed, we fish out the ones we need, take them in the house, and blast them with a Jet Carboy and Bottle Washer (#F-33). A final dip in a solution of B.E.S.T. IODOPHOR, or B-BRITE, and they are ready to use. A Bottle Brush may be needed the first time on especially dirty bottles. A Carboy Brush is always needed for 3, 5, and 7-gallon carboys. 1-3 B.E.S.T. IODOPHOR Sanitizer. A great sanitizer that has been used for B-Brite years in the brewing, soft drink, and dairy industries. B.E.S.T. is an iodine based sanitizer which eliminates bacteria, and does not require rinsing - just air dry. B.E.S.T. is a liquid which is economical to use. It is packaged in convenient 4 oz. bottles with a flip-top, and with simple casy to follow directions for the homebrewer. This is especially handy for kegging systems. 4 oz. 2.50 1-5 B-BRITE Cleanser. B-BRITE contains no chlorine, bisulfite, or organic compounds. Made with active oxygen as the cleanser. B-BRITE goes a long way. One tablespoon makes one gallon of cleansing solution. Rinse' with clear water after using B-BRITE. 8 02. 2.50 I-4 CHLORINATED T.S.P. Will clean the dirtiest carboys and bottles. 1 lb. 2.95 Note: A solution of Chlorine Bleach and water (1 tablespoon per gallon) is still a popular sanitizer with homebrewers. It's O.K. to use that, but you need to be careful with it. Chlorine requires repeated rinsing, as it can leave a residue which kills yeast and causes off-flavors. We don't carry the CAMPDEN TABLETS, SODIUM BISULFITE, or POTASSIUM METABISULFITE that were called for in some old recipes. Not only are they dangerous (those are the "sulfites" some people are sensitive to) but they never did work. For cleaning and sanitizing equipment, T.S.P. or B-BRITE followed by IODOPHOR is much better.
